Universities & Colleges

Greeley is home to the University of Northern Colorado, which enrolls more than 12,000 students each year and offers more than 200 undergraduate and graduate programs. An outstanding 96% of graduates with bachelor’s degrees are employed or are pursuing a graduate degree one year after graduation. UNC’s research and sponsored programs focus on a wide range of topics from cancer treatment to volcano eruption tracking. The College of Performing and Visual Arts boasts one of top university orchestras in America.

Aims Community College is a two-year college offering 160 programs with satellite campuses throughout Northern Colorado. Both of these facilities are an integral part of the Greeley community because of their ability to create partnerships that support economic development, as well as produce a highly-educated workforce.

Transportation

Situated along Highway 34 and Highway 85, with close access to the I-25 corridor, getting to, from and around Greeley is an easy task. Denver is only a one-hour drive south, giving you quick access to the amenities available in Colorado’s capital city. Head north, and you’ll be in Fort Collins in 35 minutes, while 20 minutes west on Highway 34 takes you to Loveland with Estes Park and the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park just beyond.

In town, Greeley offers a six route bus transit system, with routes throughout the metro area and to the University of Northern Colorado. Additionally, the regional Greeley-Weld County Airport offers a full-service jet center that also serves as an overflow airport to Denver International Airport.
